All about Oysters

Oyster mushrooms are shell-shaped and grow in beautiful clusters all year round. When cooked, they have a delicious meaty taste and can be sautéed, stir-fried, braised, roasted, and grilled, making them super versatile. Our favourite way to prepare them is with chef Derek’s patented Sarno Sear. When the individual mushroom clusters are pressed and seared, Oysters turn into incredible mushroom steaks and can be used to create all kinds of wonderful plant-based dishes.

Nature’s own feel good food

All varieties of mushrooms are good for you, including Oysters. They’re the only plant-based source of Vitamin D in the produce aisle and a good source of B Vitamins niacin and riboflavin, antioxidants, and key minerals like potassium and zinc, which help to support the immune system.

They’re also super sustainable and take far less land, energy and water to grow compared to meat, making them a great choice for the planet, as well as your plate. Our mushrooms are grown locally in East Anglia, in rural buildings which would otherwise sit empty, helping to pioneer a new climate-conscious chapter in the UK’s unique farming heritage.

Mushrooms taste great, help boost our health, and have the lowest carbon footprint of any food grown
